About the Trailhead Sign

The trailhead sign marks where a trail leaves the parking area: symbols for the uses the trail allows (hiking, bicycling, horseback riding — or a red slash for what's prohibited), the trail name, and up to three destinations with their distances, per the Bureau of Reclamation's trail-signing guidelines.
